digital logic
  • Logic based on Boolean algebra, which is an algebraic system in which variables can have only one of two values, such as 0 or 1, or true or false, and whose primary operations are AND, OR, and NOT, analogous to the way ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLY, and DIVIDE are the primary operations of arithmetic. Digital circuits are based on digital logic, and digital computers are based on digital circuits. Also called Boolean logic.
