Fahrenheit temperature scale
- A temperature scale based on the freezing and boiling points of water under certain conditions, with each having an assigned a value of 32 and 212 degrees, respectively. Its unit of temperature increment is the degree Fahrenheit, or °F. absolute zero is approximately -459.67 °F. This temperature scale is rarely used outside of the United States. Also called Fahrenheit scale.
