far-end crosstalk
  • Crosstalk which is propagated between circuits in which the interfering signal travels in the same direction as the desired signal. The terminal where far-end crosstalk is observed is usually distant from the point where it originates. This contrasts with near-end crosstalk, where each signal travels in the opposite direction, and is usually observed near or at its origination point. Its abbreviation is FEXT.
