power spectral density

- For a given bandwidth of electromagnetic radiation consisting of a
__continuous__interval of frequencies, the total power divided by the specified bandwidth. Usually expressed in multiples of watts per hertz, such as mW/Hz, or kW/Hz. Used, for instance, to analyze the power content of complex signals. Its abbreviation is PSD. Also called spectral density,__spectral__power density, or spectral__energy density__. - acronym PSD
