resistive transducer
  • A transducer in which a variation in a quantity or signal produces a variation in resistance, which in turn produces a proportional conversion to a quantity or signal in another form. For example, in a resistance thermometer, a change in temperature causes a change in the resistance of the resistive element, which in turn produces a signal that is interpreted for readings. Also called resistance transducer.
