saturation point
  • For a component, device, or material, the point at which saturation is attained. For a magnetic material, for instance, an increase in magnetizing force beyond this point will not result in an increase in magnetization.
  • For a component or device, the point within a characteristic curve correlating the current and voltage at which saturation is attained. Once this point is reached, no increase in voltage will result in an increase in current.
